Health And Wellness

Health and wellness have different origins and meanings. They are often interchangeable. The World Health Organization (WHO) refers to health and wellness as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The primary determinants of health according to the WHO, include the social, economic, environmental and individual characteristics and behaviors. In short, health is a state of being, whereas wellness is the state of living a healthy lifestyle. Health refers to physical, mental, and social well-being; wellness aims to enhance well-being.

How to maintain good health?

The maintenance and improvement of health depends not only on external or environmental factors (including the systems of care), but also on the efforts and intelligent lifestyle choices of the person. To see how our body responds to our environment and our lifestyle, a check-up is recommended to establish a baseline. Then yearly, we can repeat the process and prevent anything sinister form getting out of hand. To get a check-up, you may consult with a medical doctor, a clinic or a hospital. Blood tests, x-rays or more may be ordered.

Good health mainly depends on our lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, relaxation, and sleep.

Consuming nutritious food in your diet is the first step for being healthy and well but may not be enough. Indeed, today’s soils are depleted of nutrients, and many of our crops are GMOs. To remedy that situation, we recommend taking supplements (multivitamins, minerals, etc.), orally or through intravenous (IV) infusion for better absorption.

Exercising a minimum of 30 minutes per day is important, as well as avoiding stress, and getting 6 – 8 hours of sleep daily to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

When you are physically or mentally unwell, and if you have persistent symptoms which do not get better with traditional methods, seek a medical professional for further examination and treatment.
